Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Le Chameau offers the best customer service I have experienced in years! My new Chameau Giverny wellies were not a great fit compared with my cosey winter neoprene Chameau so the company very efficiently offered a more suitable pair for spring/summer (for high arch and narrow leg fitting). My boots were uplifted with no extra charge, and Zoe very carefully took the time to find a more appropriate style and fit for me for the slightly warmer months (which I have been wearing for 3 days). I wear wellies every single day so I can't rave enough about the comfort of Chameau wellies and the exemplary customer service the company provide. Phone them and take advice on the best fit for you - it is 200% worth it. THANK YOU Zoe and Chameau :+)”

We do offer a jersey lined version of our bestselling neoprene boots, the Vierzon model, these do sound as though they would be a better fit for your requirements. How comfortable are your boots?

“I love my boots. I was been thinking about getting them for a year or two and finally asked for these for Christmas. My husband ordered a size 39 (on the website it said size 8, but on the box and on the paper label attached to the boot it said 7 1/2.) They fit but one was a bit tight.) I returned them for a 40. Which is supposed to be a 9. (Again, the paper label said something different— 8 1/2!) I have never worn a 9 before in my life, but always an 8 or 8 1/2. I want wellingtons that allow me to wear thick socks and also don’t cause blisters if I’m walking a long ways in the country. I find the boots very comfortable & smart looking. I love the lining — very soft. Some molding / support to the foot. I’d say they’re not entirely flat inside. They aren’t too heavy either, which I’d been concerned about. All in all, I think Le Chameau Givernys live up to my expectations of a premium, attractive Wellington that I hope to use for years.”
