Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

How comfortable are your boots?

“I didn't realise that one of my boots had been cut slightly narrower until I started walking in them around the muddy lakes and it became very uncomfortable. I could then see that they were not the same so gave them to my daughter who immediately said that one looked different to the other but was delighted to receive them anyway. My last pair of Le Chameau lasted 15 years with the last 5 years having daily wear but they were the most expensive ones. I was disappointed that I had to pass them on.”
