Every pair is rigorously tested for its waterproofing capabilities, ensuring they are 100% waterproof. A shock absorbing dual-density Cross outsole ensures this boot is suitable for all terrains. Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These boots look incredibly stylish. I love the checked detail on the side. The soles are really robust and very wearable. The only thing was the sizing, which was a bit of a problem for me. I usually take a size 5 Le Chameau and that is also what their size guide indicated I should order. They arrived and were a bit loose. I ordered a replacement size 4 and they were far too tight. Have made do with the original ones and added some insoles and chunky socks and they're fine now, but have never had a problem with Le Chameau sizing before so perhaps these boots are a little unusual.”

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and I am so sorry to hear that you had a poor experience with the sizing. Leather does have a slightly different fit to our rubber boots, but the size guide should have indicated the correct size for you. It sounds like you are between sizes, which is not ideal for a completely comfortable fit. I hope that your boots end up moulding beautifully to your feet as leather often does, and that you enjoy them for many seasons to come.
