“The Levy scooter with Solid tires is a good choice. I think the ride would be much smoother if I got the pneumatic wheels but didn't want to go through the headache of having them installed after the fact.”
“After doing some research on E Scooters, I decided go to with the Levy. My reasoning was because I live in NYC where they have a shop. This turned out to be a good decision because I was unable to inflate the tires properly out of the box. After a trip to the Levy Store where the technician inflated the tires to the correct PSI and did a couple of other upgrades, my scooter has be amazing. Thanks to the protected bike lanes my commute time has been cut more than half. If you live in NYC, this is a no brainer.”
“The scooter construction is quite solid and should last. I opted for solid rubber tires instead of pneumatic ones because I figured there is no suspension and I didn’t want to deal with the headache of flat tires. The ride is a little rough but the beefy wheels are strong enough to withstand it. The swappable battery is it’s biggest advantage and it’s also its weakest feature. My commute is roughly a little over 8 miles, bridge included. Unlike other scooters where I can still get decent usable energy even with low battery levels, the Levy starts moving like a snail by mile 5 or 6 and I am forced to either kick/crawl to work or whip out a second battery.
Definitely one of the weakest and poorest performing scooters I’ve come across.”
“I should first say that I have the Levy, not the Levy Plus but it seems to be pretty much the same apart from the longer battery life. I don’t personally need to go more than 10 miles so the Levy is fine for me. Swappable battery pack is really cool though. At some point I will definitely be getting another to keep charged at my office when I start commuting back and forth. Overall I’m pretty happy with the purchase.”
