“The course is a basic but no-frills introduction to coaching. It helps students understand what coaching is, and what it is not (e.g., it is not therapy, and we are not therapists). It focuses on how to coach, talking extensively about how clients must set their own goals and the way to achieve them, and how to phrase questions to make the client think but not feel judged. The final class addresses more of the business end of coaching, such as how group coaching can increase your income. The assignments adequately build upon the materials presented in the lectures. One could not ask for more from an introductory class.”
