“I like this box mod but not as much as I like my Yocan Uni Pro 2.0 because of the weight. I generally keep this one at home as a backup. Some people prefer the lighter box mod but it is a case of personal preference.”
“Functionally so far I love it. I will echo the other reviewers comments that the plastic shell makes it feel light and cheap compared to my previous Yocan's. Time will tell how it holds up.
It is a little larger than my privious Yocan's as well. I do like the old form factor better but it's not a big change and I will get used to it. Still on my first charge so I can't say how the larger battery will do,
I do like the "puff" counter. WHen I do have to charge it I will be able to say exactly how many puffs the battery holds!”
“I've purchased YoCan because I've purchased their products previously at my local Dispensary, and still have that Dab Pen, and still am impressed with how well it was made! My Dispensary since stopped selling this line, but these are the best I've ever owned. The new batteries there are very inexpensive and have their Promos all over them, but they generally give me heartburn before a good hit.
At 4.2v this UNI Pro Plus burns about twice as hot as most any nonvariable pens. It's variable between 1.8 and 4.2. But generally that means it would have one setting at 1.8v, one at 4.2v; and them maybe one or two in between, for a total of 3-4 settings. How hot this hits is variable by Tenth of a Volt; so theres actually a couple dozen settings! And with a battery capacity of 900mAh, it barely needs to be charged daily even for an avid user! So, I have definitely replaced my old reliable pen; that lasted years, with something better!
The Led is pretty interesting. It says hi, good bye; it tells you how long a hit you took in hundredths of a second; as does the PreHeater as it counts down rapidly from 10secs. And it reads how many Ohms your last hit was at, has the current battery capacity life, and something in a number of p. I've looked through the product literature as well as the online listing, but there is much explanation of how much of the LED's function work and/or are related.
The Magnet and Aperture features work ok. I use a standard 510 cart. The magnet threads on, then click into place gently into the unit. The Aperture does a good job of holding the cart without getting loose.
That it is so light has it ups and downs. It's nice not to have much weight in my pocket. But it's not very solid and has parts that rattle inside somewhere. I've had mine for a couple weeks or so. I've had a couple good drops, so far so good..”
