I bought 5 sets of these to illuminate the decking of my caravan. I had used some supposedly outdoor Christmas lights bought from a garden centre but these failed very quickly. These lights in comparison seem very sturdy. The cables are thicker than my previous fairy lights and everything seems to be of a high standard of construction. These have only been up for a few weeks but give a very nice blue and white light and looking at the quality of construction I have high hopes that they will last for a long time. They are guaranteed for a year and as they come in sections if one section fails you only have to replace that bit. My only negative comment is that as the cables are thicker than normal fairy lights if you are going to hang them on a tree you will need relatively sturdy branches.
