I tried a dozen brands and this was the best, but it still has one flaw: a noticeable strobe effect. The other brands have worse flaws: some have printing right ON the bulb, which looks ridiculous in our chandelier. Some flicker badly at low light levels. Some just look ugly. Be aware that the bulbs I received have silver threading, which differs from the brass-colored threads in the photo. This is a recent change, and a welcome one for me because our chandelier is silver, and the threads do show, because they are longer than the threading on an incandescent bulb. Also, the shape of the bulb has changed very slightly compared to the picture. When we have a dozen of these bulbs all on at once, at night, with no other light, you definitely notice a strobe effect when someone, say, is tapping a pencil or gesturing with their fork. It doesn’t bother my wife, and I myself find it only a minor annoyance. We’re just happy to have something in our chandelier, now that California doesn’t allow the sale of incandescents. Plus, a dozen incandescent bulbs really heated up our room!

Purchased for our midcentury entryway chandelier. Beautiful warm light.

as I had hoped, the bulb is small and the light is warm. just what I was looking for.

I’ve literally looked fat and wide for a high quality G16.5 LED bulb that doesn’t look like a Sixth Grade science experiment. I think I’ve purchased over 20 different bulbs from different stores. It wasn’t until Lights.com that I found a high quality product! I ordered 42 bulbs. When one was a dud, they sent me a new one. Easy!
