“A little too early to give a true review as I have only just received them, washed them and they are on the bed now so wear cannot be a factor.
After reading the reviews before I purchased, I was a little sceptical as many had mentioned that the stitching was poor. After close inspecting the bundle I received there was nothing like that, in fact all stitching including the button holes were secure, straight with no loose threads. The linen had to be washed before use as they felt rather stiff with a slight smell to them. So following the advice for temperatures they came out lovely and silky soft and ironed pretty well. I have to say that drying them on warm and still allowing them to be slightly damp, made ironing a lot easier. I would say that if you dried them completely, you would struggle with many deep creases.
The feel of them is lovely. Very smooth and cool to the skin. I tried the linen on my bed before washing to see what shrinkage allowance there was. They did come up quite big with the bottom sheet being quite baggy and not fitting well but after washing, drying and ironing, the bottom sheet fitted snug with plenty of wrap over to secure it even on the deepest of mattresses. The duvet and pillowcases fitted perfectly.
Too early to say how long they will stay in this condition but for now I am very happy with my purchase with the quality and design being better than I imagined.”
