I think this is my 4th Baritone Beeper, I have tried all the others and keep coming back to this one. The Pros, its easy to hear, the speaker is on the back of the dogs head so hopefully that might provide a little hearing protection for the dog . Its easy to turn on an off. The Cons its hard to tell when you need to charge the battery. Supposedly the red light blink faster but its really hard to tell difference. I normally charge them 3 days. The other thing is you cant just leave them on the charger. YOu will over charge the battery and render it useless. Somehow the thing gets turned off for no reason, and you have to call the dog back and turn back on, they have a remote version its 50 bucks more and not worth it for me. Last con is the wire that contects the speaker to the control box will get damaged at some point and the speaker will stop working. Sometimes you can put a little solder on it and repair the wire most times its time for the trash and ordering a new one.

This is my 3rd BtB800 I prefer the double beep over the single. I’ve tried the tritronics it wouldn’t switch over to point mode. I also have a Dogtra it’s solid but the magnetic on/off is a pain and in run mode it’s too long between beeps if you have a fast dog.

I have only been out with it once since the purchase. I like the tone and seem to be able to hear it when the dog is further away than with other beepers I have used. The horn rides on the side of the dog's neck and I wonder if over time it will catch on something and break.
