Bought 2 for a hunt test to use for a few young puppies. They both fell apart, judges kept putting back together but kept falling apart, having to find pieces in the grass. Hopefully the more expensive ones are more reliable.

I thought that the first one was just a fluke (it fell apart in my hands after firing it twice). I ordered another one specifically for hunt tests that I participate in. I fired this one once and it was fine. The 2nd shot jammed, the 3rd shot jammed (not a good thing when a shot has to be fired for a dog's point to count in a hunt test). I emptied the chamber and tried again and 2 more shots jammed. I give up. I didn't want to spend $300+ on a starter pistol that I only use twice every year, but that is what I am going to have to do. I do not recommend this pistol at all. You might as well send Lion the money for it and let them keep the pistol for the number of shots you will get. Apparently you get what you pay for with this one.

Works like a $30 starter pistol should. Very hard trigger occasional miss fires. But again you get what you pay for.

The cylinder spins freely so after a shoot and holstering the starter pistol, the next trigger pull may or may not be on a live round. Bang or click, who knows!

This starter pistol was so nice that I cried like a little girl. I was so happy.

This starter pistol was exactly what I needed. I battled with “misfires” at the beginning. I came to find out that if I loaded the cylinder with all 7 shots the adjacent rounds would fire as well the intentional round being fired. I had to load the cylinder every other with a max of 4 rounds due to this. Once I figured it out I was able to have a more consistent function of this starter pistol.

No complaints given the price point. Reasonably well made and reliable so far. Would have rated higher if it was more accommodating in terms of ammo as it will only accept CCI and acorn crimped blanks. (As noted on the LCS website, given the tight cylinder spacing, the acorn crimps in adjacent cylinders often discharge making it advisable to load every other cylinder.) Winchester black powder blanks do not fit, and 22 construction charges are too long due to a restricter inside the cylinder. I've come to prefer the LCS 209 shotgun primer pistol given the more readily available and more cost effective shells.
