“the girls got used to the feeder very quickly and it was v easy to set up. Arrived quickly. Only reason not 5* is that they are still able to flick out pellets whilst feeding.”

“Not rodent proof they chewed through the plastic. Purchase a full metal one and not this one. Worth the extra. The metal one from here works great. Shame as you can change sensitivity so it does work for a bantam.”

“Easy to assemble. It’s been in filthy January weather, and the feed bone dry. I’ve weighted the tread, just so girls get used to new system. We have had a rat infestation, so it’s reassuring that they can’t access the feed. Great service, thank you. I initially wanted the 5kilo, which was sold out, but this is a good size, not too big to be unwieldy.”

“It took a little while for the least inguisitive of my hens to master this, but now they‘re all treadling away and their crops look very full in the evening. I have the feeders undercover to reduce the risk of rain bouncing in. I started with one and was so pleased with it that I have bought another to go alongside (This means the shy ones get a look in). It has really simplified feeding and securing hens for the night - I don’t know how I managed without them! Ann”
