“We feed our 70 free-range hens outside, so the hat on these hoppers provides just the protection we need to prevent them getting all gungy. We've bought 3 and will see if that's enough for our flock.”

“The feeder is exactly as described and seems to be well made and sturdy. The rain hat is good and broad and should keep the rain out of the feed trough itself. One minor criticism. I have kept the carrying/hanging wire in place (as I need to bring it inside every night, away from our little furry 4-legged friends) the rain hat doesn't fit securely with the handle in place. A bit of modification is called for I think. Otherwise, very pleased with it.”
