Locals slippahs do benefit from a break-in period for best comfort. With wear, the platforms tend to soften, stretch slightly, and conform to the shape of your foot—creating a custom feel over time. It’s common for them to feel firm at first, as each pair starts off as a blank canvas and gradually molds to your pressure points. In fact, the Stripe Collection is actually softer than the Originals once broken in.
