“I found out about Lo-Dough through a Slimming organisation meeting. When I mentioned pizzas someone suggested this. The pizza bases taste a little sour (or is it bitter?) compared to any other pizza I've tried, that said it's hardly noticable as it's the topping that brings most of the taste. I find when pre-cooking (browning) the bases in my non-stick frying pan before putting the toppings on, they rise up in the middle. Even though I flip them over, as soon as that side gets hot, it again rises up in the middle so I have to keep flipping. This results in a pizza base with only an outside ring browned where it's made contact with the pan. It also means my pizza is just a little floppy. I think good on the developers of this product as low carb breads and bread type products are the holy grail when it comes to loosing weight. I had really high expectations for this product. I realise it may take a long time to make and I'm sure the 8 or so hours that it takes isn't all time when workers are continually doing things and interacting with the product so it cant be THAT labour intensive. I wonder how the extremely high price can therefore be justified other than by the old rules of supply and demand - if people continue to buy so much of it, we'll increase the price? This gets 4/5 stars from me because I've seen other low carb bread products elsewhere that are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. It is a premium product and it arrived nicely packaged but I believe it currently (May 2020) costs far more than a premium price. Consequently I'll be looking elsewhere as I dont believe the price is justified. It's good but not that good.”
