“These work well, I certainly notice a considerable difference regarding my ability to fall asleep at a reasonable hour whilst using these after sunset. However, I am super disappointed that there is no gasket (removeable or otherwise) around the frame to keep the light from creeping into eyes from under cheeks, bridge of the nose, or sides of the frames. I nearly returned them due to this because eyes are sensitive to even just ONE PHOTON of light, so when these lenses aren't sealing the external light from passing around the lenses, it is not truly blocking the blue light as intended which diminishes the effects.
A gasket should be fairly easy to build into these units, as even Milwaukee safety lenses have a model with a removeable gasket to prevent debris from creeping under the frames and into the eye. A gasket on these would help to prevent the "debris" of unwanted light slipping past the glasses. I hope you consider this improvent, as even now, I am already looking to replace these with a model that will seal out the light around the edges of the frame better. I have a small head which makes it unusually difficult to find frames that comfortably fit me. These Junior Defenders fit quite well, they just really need a gasket for the intended purpose of adequately blocking blue light.
I also notice that these lenses smudge far easier and more often than traditional lenses. I find myself needing to take them off and wipe them with a microfiber cloth often, sometimes several times in one evening. This may be due to the type of lens and perhaps any sort of coating to help prevent the smudging would disrupt the frequency range of light that passes through the lens. I don't have the knowledge of whether this is something that can be fixed or addressed without harming the effectiveness of the lenses, but if it is something that can be addressed, it would greatly improve the "comfortability" of using these lenses.
If these had a comfortable and effective gasket, I would likely rate this a 5-star product, as the lenses and frame size are wonderful!”
