“The 9W led bulb is excellent. I use it when the sun goes down, till bedtime. I also use it in the morning before sunrise. Very efficient, and plenty of light emitted.”
“These Sleep Bulbs are AWESOME!!! They are MASSIVELY helping me get out of Bipolar mania by NOT turning my melatonin production off like an On/Off switch which then keeps me from falling asleep until 3AM, or sometimes keeps me from sleeping for the entire night! Even when I'm not having an issue with my Bipolar, these Sleep Bulbs are still AWESOME because, when used starting at about 5PM-6PM...in place of regular LED or halogen or incandescent or any other kind of regular lighting...they do NOT turn off your melatonin production like an On/Off switch so that you can be in these lights as bright as bright right up until to flop Into bed at night and then fall immediately to sleep!!! They take some getting used to because they emit an amber-colored light, but what they hey! They WORK AWESOME to help me get an EXCELLENT NIGHT'S SLEEP so the amber-colored light is a very minor issue and well worth waking up feeling so UNCHARACTERISTICALLY WELL RESTED AND REFRESHED AFTER SUCH A GOOD NIGHT OF VERY SOUND, LONG-LASTING SLEEP THAT, FOR ME, EVEN INCLUDES DREAMING!!! Get some Sleep Bulbs for yourself and give them a trial and see if you don't conclude that they're the best invention ever!!! :). I use the Omnidirecitonal Sleep Bulbs in closed ceiling fixtures, closed wall fixtures, lamps with silk or glass shades, and also in a ceiling fan light that had glass shades. For that fixture, I had to purchase new glass shades that were longer to accomodate the length of the Omnidirectional Sleep Bulb...PLUS an electrical adapter that changed the bulb socket from a candelabra (narrow) size to the regular, standard bulb size of the 9W LED Omnidirectional Sleep Bulb. If I had not had to use the adapter, I would not have had to purchase the longer glass shades for this ceiling fan light because the 9W LED Omnidirectional Sleep Bulb is not inordinately long.”
“The 9W LED is a bright, “sunny” light that adds a cheerful glow on a gloomy day. But for nighttime, I find it to be too bright, especially in the hour before bedtime. Also, this bulb is advertised as working with dimmer switches. Maybe I was inadvertently shipped the previous style because every single one of the 7 bulbs I ordered, and then placed in a dimmer fixture, flickered continually or would suddenly pulse to full brightness. Not one dimmed to what I would call a low, soothing level. Everyone in the house complained about how bright it was. So in summary, all 9W LED bulbs placed in my dimmer units pulsed like a disco ball and stayed eye-scorchingly bright.
I really wanted to like these, but I doubt they will get much use other than on rainy spring or grey winter days, where they will be great for reading or working. For nighttime, I still prefer clear or amber 60W incandescent bulbs, with 280-310 lumens, which can be turned down to near candlelight dimness.”
“I love these bulbs. They are bright enough that you can still read a book yet they aren't stressful on the eyes. I've noticed I am falling asleep faster and getting better sleep at night. I plan to buy more to use in my home office for those days when I am working late.”
