“I purchased this watch from an authorized retailer going on two months ago. I wanted to wear it a while before I left a review, to see if I was going to have any of the issues that I read in some of the negative reviews. So far the Atacama has been excellent. The watch fits nice and I find the band to be comfortable. For a 44mm watch it does not feel bulky and throughout the day I don't really even notice it. What info I could find on the movement, if I am correct, it is +/- 12 seconds a day. In nearly two months my watch is running 15 seconds fast. I am very pleased with this because one of my other automatics (4R36 movement) loses 2 minutes every 3 days! Some people say I'd never pay that much for a watch, but you get what you pay for. If you prefer $10 throw aways, that's fine but if you want a watch that will last for many years, I highly recommend the Atacama Field watch. You will not be disappointed!”
“I have another watch with the luminescent tubes which one reason i purchased this watch( works as advertised). The movement is smooth and keeps time within the stated accuracy of the movement. I do however was a little surprised by the size of the watch. This will be my every day go to watch and do not know how the bulk will cause unintentional bumping and scratching. Having stated the slight personal feelings, the watch is very stylish and comfortable to wear.”
“I have owned this watch for about 4 months. I want to say that I erred in my assessment of the Luminox Light technology and I now like it. HOWEVER, the watch whether worn or placed in an automatic winder, the watch will lose 2-3 minutes per week! I am not sure if I received a defective timepiece or if this is just normal for this series and/or brand.”
“Just received this watch. I am somewhat disappointed. But not enough to send back. The good 1) love the face, it's very clean looking 2) the movement is wonderful 3) it was pretty easy to set (after I re-read the instructions). My issues are 1) the "Luminox Light technology" - a big reason I bought the watch - is a disappointment since it is not as bright as shown in any of the associated photos (kinda feel like those are doctored). But it seems work as advertised 2) the band is okay but it seems very small. I have 8.5" wrists and if they were any larger the band would be too small. Overall the pluses outweigh the minuses but what I thought would be amid/high 5 star watch is a low 4 star due to my issues.”
“The watch looks great and is holding up the the rigorous work that I do. Band was stiff at first but feels great around the wrist now. I was concerned about the face getting scratched up but that has not been a problem. Good watch so Far.”
