“I decided to replace my old Navy Seal special with a dressier uniform watch as I'm a desk jockey in the late side of my special ops career, love the look of the Atacama Field and wanted it as soon as I saw it. Got to the shipping and found that $75 was the charge to my APO here in Germany where I'm stationed?! Really? A company who touts Military support bordering affiliation and probably profits greatly from it is charging a ridiculous rate to Service Members over seas?! Having been deployed for more than 4 years of my career and stationed in Germany for the last 2 years, I have found that 90% of the companies I order from stateside waive taxes and shipping, and in allot of cases end up giving special discounts to active duty members in APO's. I really had to think about this for quite some time, thinking of ditching Luminox all together out of principle, but having only needed 2 watches (probably could have gotten by on my first till now) and with no one offering a tritium solution in the watch market, had to go with it. Really hoping someone in corporate sees this review and re-looks this shipping charge. You are profiting from the U.S. Military marketing, then slapping us in the face with an over charge to men and women serving their country in combat and displaced from the land they love. I almost feel guilty for this purchase, but hoped that by doing this I could write this review to save others from going through the pain of what I did, which was ship to my neighbor and have him send to me (at less than $10 USPS) as to not give Luminox the extra $ out of principal.”
