“I had to think about writing this review for some time, and I was hesitant to post it.
The odyssey GTX-S pro gyro kit is not as good as they think they are, for a number of reasons.
1) the kit didn't come with the crimp ends for the lower cable when you cut it to the required length, they expect you to have this stuff already, as well as a metal protective cable sleeve end.
2) The upper cable single protective sleeve was too short. This is the most annoying thing about this kit. I dialled all my barrel adjusters to their maximum yet it was not enough because this upper cable sleeve was cut too short which meant too much slack in my brake lever. I can not stress this enough, I had so much annoyance over this, trying everything to reduce the slack in my brake lever, to the point that the ONLY WAY this kit would work is if I used a spacer in the upper cable assembly - which came with it's own frustrations.
3) The instructions don't even matter for the GTX-S pro. It's just a sheet which talks about the 'GTX-R KNARP' option, and the 'G3 Gyro' - both with the Standard cable stops and bolt on tabs. I have a feeling they call it the 'pro' because you need to be one to install it.”
