“Been riding my 2020 WTP Battleship complete for about 3 months now.
Upgraded the rear wheel to a BSD Revolution complete Mind wheel but intend to lace the Revolution hub to the Eclat Bondi 38mm wide rear rim that came on the Battleship.
I'm 6' 2" and the 20.75" top tube is just fine for me, even with the slammed 12.7" rear end. Unfortunately, I can't run a rear-left peg as the heel of my left shoe catches it. Not the end of the world as I primarily grind on the right-hand side. Thankfully, the Battleship comes in left or right-hand drive, though, they're colour-specific to their drive side.
The bike seems to be bomb-proof and truly is a straight out of the box, pro-level street or park ride. I managed to get a quarter of the price knocked off (99 Bikes Springwood. Sorry LUX) so was super-satisfied with that also.
Nothing but quality parts will be found on the Battleship and the build has lasted 3 months with only the wheel nuts needing tightening. The oversized (1") stem clamp has never needed tightening or lost grip of the 4-piece bars they hang on to and even the Eclat grips are comfortable. Really, they're probably the soften grip I've ever ridden. You'd want to hold one in your hand to agree with that statement but it's absolutely true.
Given I paid less than the RRP, I can't find a better complete ride that matched what I wanted for $1500.
If I was forced to fault the bike, I'd state that the brake lever felt cheap so I replaced it with a Dia-Compe Goldfinger and the Helix freecoaster never wore in properly but that could be that I just didn't give it enough ride time. Possibly re-greasing and reassembling could have remedied this.
Highly recommended.”
