“I never leave reviews for anything but couldn't wait to share my experience with this jacket.
I just got back from 3 days riding in cold (~4degrees) and wet conditions in regional Vic and this jacket was absolutely phenomenal.
I was tossing up between this and the thicker winter jacket and didn't have high hopes when I opened the package as material, although super high quality to feel, seemed too thin to give the kind of protection I wanted.
BUT I need not fear because actually, this is the most perfect jacket, ever.
I tend to get pretty hot when riding so only wore a LS jersey underneath and despite constant wind and torrential rain, I stayed warm (not hot) and dry the whole time. Like not even one drop of rain got in (we rode through 20mm across 3 days so pretty damn wet).
Double zipper is great and easily zipped with gloves on. No issues with collar tightness or sleeve length either. And the cut is spot on.
It might be the best piece of kit i've ever worn in 20 years.
I usually take a 2XL in Maap (117cm chest, 93kg) and this size was perfect which still left room for layers underneath.
