“I've really enjoyed this vest in the short time I've had it so far. The "Bay" color is more of a soft sky blue, not the near irredescent it appears to be from the product photos. It's a cute color really.
This has been a brilliant lightweight shell layer for the PNW wintertime. It keeps the rain out and can lightly vent small amounts of moisture as you ride. You'll still end up with a sweaty back, but personally half the point of the vest is to trap heat on sub-45º F days, and that extra warmth (on demand thanks to the two way zip) is quite pleasant. The vest dries very quickly, and generally sheds water quite nicely.
If the Draft line of vests could be considerend an ideal product for winter in the American southwest (keep warmer in the morning, pack away for the rest of the day), and any of the insulated vests would be the go-to option for a midwest fall/winter (cold, one more layer to keep extra warm over a heavy jersey jacket), then I'd desrcibe this vest as the perfect PNW shoulder season/winter all-rounder. It helps to keep you warm, but also does an excellent job keeping your core dry as possible. If you're somehow blessed with a day that touches 50º F, then this vest is light enough that you can pack it down and tuck it in a pocket without too much trouble.
I purchased this vest on sale, and for that money I think it was well worth the price.”
