“I had previsouly upgraded my wife's MacBookPro with a Seagate Momentus XT as the cost of large SSDs was expensive.
They are still not cheap, but I bought a 128GB drive for my laptop about 5 years ago for over $800. So a drive 4x as large for 1/2 the price shows how prices have shifted.
Anyway boot time went from like 1:15 to 10 seconds. Together with 16GB RAM this pappy should last her another 5 years.”
