“I recently considered retiring my 2012 iMac, but decided to 'risk' putting in a 2TB OWC Mercury SSD. The results could only be described as 'jaw dropping'. The iMac now boots faster that my MacBook Air, and opens my photos app (with over 40,000 photos), almost immediately. If there is anyone out there thinking about upgrading to one of these drives...do it!”

“Purchased a iMac upgrade kit, 2tb SSD card and 32 gb of RAM as the machine was lagging. Other companies had waiting periods on stock and some of the reviews on Ram failing made me purchase from Macfixit. I place the order on late weds night and it was here by Friday lunchtime. Followed the YouTube videos and it’s Lille a new machine super fast. They were a little more pricey than some other suppliers but I believe you get what you pay for. Cloned the Ssd from the hdd and booted from that. Initially it only saw 16gb of ram, but after reseating the ram. All good. I would highly recommend Macfixit and if I ever need to upgrade a mac again will definitely be using them.”

“I converted an older MacBook to this new 2TB OWC Mercury drive by cloning the old drive then replaced drive and all worked well. The new drive is much faster at start up and when using all the programs.”
