“A friend of my family was an award-winning chef from France, Monsieur Bruchez, who owned a lovely little restaurant in Florida. He taught me how to make several dishes that we particularly loved, Frog Legs Provencal, French Onion Soup (DeGaulle presented him with a Gold Medal for this in the 50s), Chocolate Mouse, and Orange Duck. Now, almost 60 years later, I no longer prepare any except the Onion Soup, but we have missed our "special" Orange Duck. Now, this is not his recipe, for one thing it does not have the Orange Grand Marnier based sauce, but the seasoning is so similar that I cannot tell a difference. We tried it for the first a few days ago; I am now ordering more, and will indulge ourselves about every three weeks. My only fear is that it will be discontinued before we are.”
