“The food is easy to prepare and tastes okay, but is way overpriced. The lobster/marcaroni dish was $90.00, not including shipping, and had negligible amount of lobster. I use the company for gifts as it is convenient and a treat, but I rarely will order for myself as I can do a better job cooking at a far lower cost.”

“I have ordered many times from this company. The food is delicious and comes well packed with easy instructions to follow. THis last order however my mom didn't receive two items (the linzer cookies which are her favorite) and instead received some lamb which she doesn't eat. I've opened a case with mackenzie so we will see if they can figure out what happened and send her the cookies. She's 89 and in another state so I can't really help her identify what kind of lamb or help her find the box it came in.”

Although the redipients were thrilled with their gift, I was disappoint in the "gift card" enclosed. I just happened to be there when the package arrived. The recipients were ready to discard the "invoice-type" piece of paper that included the note from the sender. I asked if there was a gift card enclosed and they said no. Then they happened to see the note included on the "invoice-looking' piece of paper. It would definately enhance the presentation if the gift card from the sender was upgraded to a nice little true gift card and not just put on the paper that lists the contents of the box.
