I like the food , but I am having trouble getting the cooking right. The Mac and Cheese I got perfect. The chicken parma I got right when I let it thaw in the fridge first, but trying to cook it frozen at 350 for an hour the patties were still cold. I had to use the micro wave to finish it. I havent tried the snitzel yet, so I think I am going to try frying the patties and see if I can get them heated up right.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the Mac and Cheese. Sorry to hear the chicken parmesan didn’t heat evenly when cooked from frozen. Oven cooking times can vary from one to another. Kind regards, Team Mackenzie Limited

Excellent: Key Lime Bites Butternut Risotto Mini Crab Cakes Very Good: Spinach Artichoke Pot Pie Bite Asiago Asparagus Spears Not good Vegetable Bundles (There was no prep instructions, so I just put them in the frig the morning my company was coming. By dinner time, they were mush, so I threw them away.)

The blueberry scones are delicious either as dessert with ice cream or a bft.treat with coffee...the mushroom flatbread is good, but won't order again as odd shape and hard to get on pizza pad when done.

Your shipping is SO Much more than other food outlets I get from. I like the quality and I'm willing to pay for that but your shipping pricing is ridiculous. I have people that like the staff that I serve and when I tell them how much it cost to ship and none of them will do it. You guys keep track of the biggest companies are but 1 million bucks you're going to be up against him a holiday for QVC because they're rich is white and anybody's of the amount of people that watch those shows. And you'll see that it's from great food all across the country and it's not cheap and people don't care they buy it. But their shipping is free. This is one example there's other places, but I'm just saying from me ordering from so many places by far they bring in the most amount of food, expensive, and let people that work, Don't click, injured or handicap or old that want quality food and not have to go to a restaurant. And of course they could pay for much more marketing trends in anywhere else because they're the richest people of selling high end food. I love that you have such a bigger selection. But like I learned all the way to business school go to people and find out what they do since they paid all the money for the marketing already. So that's my suggestion because a lot of the food places that I get especially if you spend extra money money you don't pay for shipping they work it in there somewher. Guarantee you, Being in business, all these years free shipping goes a long long way for people buying more. That's my suggestion.

The mashed potatoes were ok but the broccoli ai gratin was not edible. The steaks were okay, but very different densities so they cooked different. The beef stew was good.

I have lived in arizona now for 10 years. Iam originaly from baltimore, so I thought I would try some cream of crab soup and some maryland crab cakes. The taste was very good the only thing was I thought it could have been more lump of crab in both entrays. Thank you.

PLEASE DO NOT EDIT THIS FOR POSTING!!! I have ordered a few times from Mackenzie. The items arrive frozen and well-packed with cooking instructions at an understandably-high shipping price. Since every oven seems to differ, I found the suggested cooking times insufficient for mine and have learned to cook longer. The small appetizer bites are disappointing (The mini crabcakes have too much breading v. crab; the bacon-wrapped lobster ends up with undercooked bacon on overcooked lobster, etc.). My first introduction to collard greens was good, and the kids among us loved the lobster mac and cheese. The spinach gruyere gateau was delicious but needed to be heated longer than suggested. I love soft-shelled crabs but now live on the West Coast; so, finding the Mackenzie source for them is great. I simply saute the defrosted and non-battered ones in butter, garlic, white wine, Dijon mustard, etc. We are not red-meat fans but find our own here when indulging for a BBQ. Also, we rarely have desserts but did sample the chocolate-coated cheesecake balls. They were okay; but we prefer simple, plain New York cheesecake with graham-cracker crust. The Belgian waffles were nice for Christmas brunch with fresh fruit and Vermont maple syrup. When I want lobster, I'll have it shipped from Maine; when I want crab cakes, I'll make them myself with lots of crab and only a tiny bit of panko and egg for binders; when I want salmon, it is readily available in the PNW; when I want turkey, I'll prepare it myself. However, I am still curious about some of the more complicated pastry-encrusted meat and fish dishes and stuffed crown roasts featured by Mackenzie . . . Heating suggestions: I feel the precooked casserole dishes can be better controlled for full cooking if one slowly microwaves and tests them for heated perfection after baking earlier. When I do use the vegetable bundles, I will also try the microwave which seems to keep vegetables firmer. Finally, I do think that, for those who want to impress with llimited effort and/or cuisine experience and with adequate financial funds, Mackenzie is a good resource.

Ordered the short ribs - extremely disappointed. Far from being succulent, it was tough and tasteless. Was looking forward to a gourmet meal, very unhappy.

I only have one complaint: One Prime Rib was wedge shaped. Hard to carve. The slices were very hard to manage.

The meal was excellent but my oven caught on fire .,I couldn't use it until I get a new stove..so I had to use microwave to cook the meatloaf comfort meal.month sure that was wise as I have had a bad stomach virus since.msoninwould advise you advertise the fact your meals need an oven ..I chose your meal not realizing I could not properly cook the food. Thank you...and do you have meals that can be microwaved?

Very first order with your company was a disaster. Box arrived with leakage on the outside. Inside all was warm. Only one bag of dry ice in there and it had the corner clipped off so it was totallly dry. Looked like the corner was cut off with a pair of scissors. Second order was perfect, all still frozen and into the freezer they went. BTW, there were "three" dry ice bags in our second order. We are having our first shank tonight and looking forward to it. Thank you for making it right for us. Jury still out on a higher rating.

We ordered Crab Cakes and Pork Shanks. The Pork Shanks were very good to excellent. The Crab Cakes I felt were average. Similar to frozen grocery store crab cakes. Not enough lumb crab in my opinion.
