“I have been a smoked fish customer of Mackenzie for nearly 40 years. The most recent 1 lb side of Scottish Smoked Salmon was, as usual, superb. Firm flesh, lovely smoked aroma and flavor, beautifully presented. Absolutely my favorite smoked salmon. To present the fish, we laid it out upon a green marble serving slab along with capers, chopped onions and both water crackers and stoned wheat crackers. Superb. A wonderful treat.”
“Although all of the salmon I used for gifts was very well received. The salmon I kept for myself was a bit salty and had a very oaky taste. Bear in mind I am English and tend to be extra fussy when it comes to smoked salmon. The cavier was wonderful.”
