“I followed the directions exactly, and the VERY expensive lamb was over cooked. I ended up cutting the whole thing up into cubes (!) and making lamb stew. THAT was excellent and it rehydrated the meat. But the recipe that comes with the meat is WRONG!”
“I agree with the other reviewers. The lamb itself was quite good, but the cheese all melted out and I had to spend time scooping it out of the pan to put it on top of the lamb on the serving platter. Not a big deal, but some of the cheese was burned. I followed the directions and my lamb was done in an 11/2 as well. Suggest that you plan for that and not 2 1/2.”
“This dish is rich and delicious. It is easy to prepare. I served it with roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The dinner was a hit. The lamb was tender and very flavorful. The roast easily feeds 10 people. If, or rather, I should say when I serve it again, I will use a spicier rub and will cook to a slightly lower internal temperature as I prefer my meat a tad pink.”
