“I was disappointed in the fruit-filled French beignets I ordered. Considering the cost of the beignets, I expected them to be filled with fruit, almost to the point of oozing out of the dough. Not true at all. Very little fruit and all dough. The fruit filling wasn't even very tasty. In addition to another disappointing item I purchased through Mackenzie, it appears the status of 'gourmet' foods isn't an accurate claim. You are charged high-dollar for what you would expect to be exceptional gourmet food items, to only be disappointed with mediocre (at best) products. I will be EXTREMELY selective before ordering anything else and do some research. The beignets are NOT worth the cost and would not recommend them being purchased.”
