“For Stilton, proper packaging and a short transit time are essential. Mackenzie excelled in both aspects: use of dry ice instead of freezer packs is good insurance against delivery issues.
Recently bought from another vendor: the contents of the foam box were all at 75 F and the wrapping of the Stilton soggy with water. The cheese would pass as Danish Blue, not a favorite.”

“Fifty years ago my wife and I were in the midst of spending 12 years in West Berlin. We had daily contact with British forces and their support system. That was where we became addicted to English cheeses. Upon retirement from government service we retired to "Mayberry". Here we became friends with two sisters and their brother from Watford that had come to the US after WWII. This year, the girls 96th and 94th birthdays, we got them the smaller Stilton cheeses while the wife and I got the two pounds for ourselves . Everyone is happy.
