“This is a gorgeous painting. I love London, rain, and the color gray, which works out well since there are ten shades of gray plus two taupes, several beiges, white, and black. Fortunately, there are enough reds and golds to relieve the rainy London color scheme. The composition is wonderful, including all the beloved landmarks of Central London: the red telephone box, post box, black cab, red double-decker buses, umbrellas, stately architecture, and hurrying, wet pedestrians...and misty, rainy atmosphere.
The paint is fresh and creamy. However, many do not cover the numbers--not only the palest tints, but medium values as well. This means quite a bit of repainting. Pleasant work, but more of it. There's plenty of paint; I ordered an extra set but don't need them, even with three coats on some bits.
There are many, many stray marks that look like color divisions but turn out not to be. There are also many unnumbered spaces. A few of these errors are resolvable with the supplied chart, but many are not. I'm making my best guesses and using the photo on my computer (the supplied thumbnail is too small to see details). Otherwise it's an excellent project.
The project comes very well packaged in a sturdy tube.
