“Pulling the trigger on a $60 baseball hat was not easy. But I liked what I saw. Finally pulled the trigger and am glad I did. Hat is vibrant red as images online suggested. Construction feels solid and well-designed, including materials which have some “depth” to the touch. Meaning not thin, nor defenseless against sweat, rain and use. The hydro is not low-profile to me. Its dome is among my bigger hats, but it is not at the point of being horribly billboard-esque on my forehead. Looks great on backwards if that’s your thing. I haven’t gotten it wet yet, not exercised in it. At its price point, it’s playing a more formal role in my wardrobe - at least initially. Pairs great with jeans and casual attire. I can’t say I’m going to rush to buy a second one, will hold out for something designed specifically to be lower profile. I did purchase the green camo one at the same time, with the intention of sending one back depending on which one I like better. But the camo one was pretty cool looking too, so I made a gift of it to my brother and he loved it.”
“These hats are by far some of the best I have ever purchased. I love the sizing options which keeps the SnapBack clasp at a more reasonable size. The fit and finish are top notch. Not too high, not too low. And the finishing is very good, comfortable on the headband and the small touches (like the logos, medallion and the pattern inside etc) are cool. This is my 3rd Melin hat. Will be getting more.”
