“Bought this for my husband who sweats like Niagara Falls from his forehead. He loves that he won’t stain this hat like he has with others. One thing he did comment on is the size we purchased -XL. He has a large head and a lot of commercial hats do not fit but the XL was almost too big. Double check the size and fit before you buy if your noggin is big!”
“I have now ordered 6 hats from Melin, 4 of which have been A-Game's. I also have tried on many more at a local retailer, and have purchased a couple more there as well. One issue I see a lot of, especially on the XL (60cm) sizes, are the visors being sewn on crooked. At first, I thought this was anecdotal, but at this point I am convinced it's a legit issue. Maybe production in the USA would help with QA?
I will say that aside from this issue, there is a definite reason I keep buying these hats. I am bald. I sweat a lot. If I find a hat I like, I typically sweat through it to the point of ruining the hat rather fast; a few weeks if I am lucky. These Melin hats last. One A-Game I have kept, I have swam in, hiked in, and worn all day, for many days, in 90-100 degree weather. I have washed it a few times. It looks like new. I never have hats look this fresh after washing (hand washed). They always delaminate, stain/fade, or the form changes, and never looks the same. But these Melin hats HOLD UP. That is really amazing to me.”
