“Gotta be honest. I wanted to love it with all my heart. Today I was running a chainsaw for 30 minutes, and the sweat generated made the light grey hat dark grey where the sweat was coming through. Also, the fit is a little tight, like leaves an imprint on my forehead when I take it off. The next setting is too loose. I would give it 4 stars if it was $25, but it was $70. I see some coming out that can be adjusted more finely than snapback, and I may try one in the future, but not quite sure at the price point.”
“Melin stepped up and sent me a new hat after one of my Melins get a stain from normal washing. They let me pick a different model as a replacement and the hat got to me in 2 days. Excellence customer service, I will be a customer for life! Best hats on the market I swear,Thank you!”
“The quality is really nice. The shape and fit of the hat, for someone in that 7-1/8 size range, can work if you have a deeper head. It isn't perfect, for me - too deep, and the front on the smaller hat is poorly shaped (because it just dishes straight back), and I am between the snap sizes as far as being too loose/tight. There are not enough "small" size options across the Melin models, especially if you need a less deep hat. I think it is a quality item, if it fits you, but after some extended use, I'm not sure I would purchase another Melin hat just because of fit concerns.”
