“This is my first Melin hat. I have seen them around many times before but I have lots of hats so why pay a bit more for this specific company. After a glowing recommendation from a friend, I thought I’d give it a try (free returns, no risk).
Now I see what all the fuss is about: very high quality materials, well thought out design, unique features like the cash stash spot, and super comfortable.
And I must make a comment about the customer support team. Absolutely top notch service! My order was lost in transit by the shipping company but it wasn’t clear that it was fully lost. I sent an email to customer support asking about the order and within 30 minutes I got a reply that they looked into my order, saw that it was lost, and they were sending my order again with rush shipping. Over the next few days I got a handful of emails with updates, checking in, and finally just following up to make sure I got it and whether I was happy with my order. Each email along the way was clearly human made and very considerate. And they were replying over the weekend! I don’t expect anywhere near that level of service so I was blown away. Just a “sorry for the inconvenience - replacement is in the mail” is plenty for me. This is the kind of stuff you see from well run companies that truly care that their customers are happy. I have spent a LOT more for other high end items and received garbage service. They earned my business from the get go - there will be a lot more in the very near future (what colors do I get next?!)”
“I feel like the fit has changed a bit in the last two hats I purchased. I have a collection of Trenches and these two fit a little different. Seems shallower and more room in the front crown area. (Not exactly sure on the correct terminology)”
