“I ordered my first Melin Odyssey Stacked Hydro in January 2025 because the advertising claimed it wouldn't retain odors after use, just clean it as recommended, and the hat is good to go. I sweat a lot and use my hats heavily, and my issue with other hats has always been that no matter how much I wash them, the sweaty smell eventually sticks.
I can honestly say the Melin hat lasted a long time, about six months, before the smell wouldn’t go away. BUT true to Melin’s warranty, they replaced the hat without issue. At $90, it's not a cheap hat, so I was very satisfied that they stood by their guarantee.
Going forward, I plan to take it a bit easier with my Melin hat. I won’t use it every single day while sweating heavily, just to extend its life. Unfortunately, these hats do eventually start to smell too, but I can honestly say they last significantly longer than any other hat I’ve used.”
