Though I'm not a flat bill guy, this can be shaped with a gentle curve, like any other hat. The material is first rate and water repellent. This hat is a "thermal" but doesn't feel heavy, just substancial. My head is 7 5/8, and the XL is a perfect fit, with the leather fasterner square in the middle holes. This hat is very expensive, but after receiving, I know why.”
