“I liked the hat and it was of the high quality that I have experienced before with Melin. However, I did not like the sizing belt on the rear of the hat. I thought it took away from the quality of the hat. Once sized, it didn't seem to keep the size in place. Sometimes it slipped and forced me to have to resize the hat. The belt buckle that I am familiar with from previous hat purchases is much better. My advice, is don't cheapen the quality of the hat by changing things with lesser quality innovations.”

“This hat made a strong first impression. I took it out of the box, adjusted the fit, and immediately put it to the test on a walk/run in the rain. It performed exactly as advertised—water beaded off, keeping my head dry and comfortable, and it dried quickly enough that I wore it again to an event just two hours later.
A couple of days later, I put it through a different test on an extended hike on local mountain trails. The moisture-wicking lining did its job, and my head never felt hot or uncomfortable, even with sustained activity.
The overall quality of the materials is excellent. Everything feels premium and well thought out, and it has quickly become my go-to hat.
My only very slight disappointment is the visor. I’d personally like to see a little more curve to it—but that may just be the “old school” in me talking.
