“I really love the quality and looks of Melin hats. The A-Game Northern Aura is the 6th in my collection (so far) and I love the look of this one.
Aside from the appearance, these hats last and age very well compared to more traditional baseball/trucker hats. I have washed them and they come out looking almost as like the day I received them. I appreciate that they do not develop sweat stains or start to wrinkle due to excessive use. They also retain their structural integrity after hand washing and air-drying them.
There is only one aspect of the Hydro collection hats is that they run warm compared to other trucker style hats I own. It's great for cooler or cold days, but on hot summer days or during workouts, my head gets a little toasty. I believe the newer Hydrolite collection may address this, but I have yet to add one of those to my collection (maybe that will be #7). (Note: 5 of my 6 Melin hats are "Hydro" collection. My "Crushable" is much lighter weight.)
Even with the warm factor, given that this is #6 in the collection (and doubtfully my last) and that I still call this a 5 star rating, I think that says a bit about my pro/con assessment.”
