“I'm 75 years old and prefer walking to riding when I play golf. During the last 2-years after walking 18 I found myself somewhat exhausted and later would frequently experience leg cramps. Much of the pain/strain I thought was due to having to push my cart and bag. I tried riding in a cart which helped eliviate the exhaustion and leg cramps. On the minus side I often found myself walking back to the cart to get a different club for a particular shot. Even worse, a few times when I played carts were restricted to cart paths only and having to walk across a fariway to size up and make a shot was inotoleable. I thought there has to be a better alternative. This year I read a WSJ article about alternatives and one was electric carts like the X3. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an experiment and when I found the X3 Superseded Model (last year's?) for under $600 I said WHY NOT. I've played 4-times since getting the X3 and I haven't been exhausted after walking 18 (6000 yard courses) and no evening leg cramps either! One course I play is fairly flat the other has a hilly back-9. The X3 is manual (no follow me technology or remote control) so I have to start/stop it, set the speed, and guide it. It works well. The only issue I have is I've found myself inadvertntly pushing the START button which I then have to push again to stop the X3. I'm hoping the X3 allows me to continue walking when the weather gets warmer (hot-humid). I also hope the X3 is built to last. So far so good and I'm happy I can once again walk and play golf!”
