“The assembly is quite robust but I definatly won't be using the Zip Navigator in "really" muddy wet conditions again. The conditions were the downfall of the assembly. Plastic Cog cracked on right side and chewed out and could see where the moisture had got to the bearings etc.
Otherwise I find the the Zip Navigator AT a great cart and suits my needs extremely well.”
“I just replaced my gearbox. There is a youtube video that gives you step by step instructions. I drew a diagram of the bottom of the cart on a piece of cardboard. After I took the screws out, I place them onto the diagram. There is an electrical box inside. I would suggest you take a picture of the wiring or mark each wire. Once you remove the cover, there are about four screws that hold the gearbox on. Remove the gearbox. Remove the two motors from the old gearbox and assemble them on to the new gearbox. Then assemble in reverse order. Having a screwdriver that is magnetized or having a magnet may help removing some of the screws.”
“I am very displeased that I was forced to purchase the entire gearbox when all I needed was a single plastic gear that could have been easily replaced for $10-15. Instead MGI forced me to purchase the entire gearbox assembly for just over $200. Can you spell profit margin?
Come on man, just sell me the parts that break and do not require me to purchase parts that are not broken in order to replace the one piece of that assembly that was actually broken.”
