Zip Navigator Motor Controller Reviews

2.9 Rating 7 Reviews
I purchased a Zip NAV through refurbished golf caddies (certified partner) and 13 months later the motor controller failed. After several emails with both companies to try and get the $300 part covered under warranty I was told it was only a 12 month warranty. The motor controller seems to be a known issue. The new motor controller fixed my issue.

I have not been able to use my Navigator for months because of electrical problems with the unit which has only been used 20 times.

The controller appears to function as designed and needed. However, since the original controller failed after 39 months - 3 months beyond warranty - and the replacement cost $300, I can not rate the product higher than Very Poor.

The new motor controller was easy to replace and fixed my issues (once I was able to get it). Item was originally sold out in USA, no time frame for getting new stock. I tried to get the item shipped to me from Canada (in stock) and Australia (in stock) but neither would ship to USA, had to go through local operation in Vegas. On the MGI website I elected to be notified when the item was back in stock. After about 3 weeks I was notified the item was back in stock, I ordered it and had to wait an additional week for the $300 part to get to me, no options for overnight or faster delivery. This all seems pretty rediculous for a unit that costs over $1,500.00, and for a part that appears to be a common issue based upon simple web searches. I hope MGI doesn't become the equivalent of owning a Land Rover or Jaguar, where everytime something goes wrong your weeks without use of the product.

Hoping this part lasts longer than the last, less than one year!
