“What a great microscope! Im not a science expert but I am studying science at university and I think this is a pretty high quality microscope for a university student. The pack I bought came with 50 slides, 200 cover slips, 2 condenser filters (green and blue), dust cover for the miscroscope, and a digital camera. I LOVE the 100x oil free objective. It was very easy to put together. The trinocular attachment for the camera was a bit tight and didnt screw all the way down even with a bit of oil, but it screws down enough to do the job and I havent had a problem with it.
So far the smallest thing Ive viewed it red blood cells - I could even see a few granulocytes which was cool!
The digital camera came with software. The digital camera itself is a metal box so there are not buttons or settings on the camera so you need to use the software which worked fine on my windows laptop. I didnt know what to expect with the software but I was actually pretty impressed. The camera allows you to see the microscope on the screen, capture a picture, add meta data - theres LOTS of features and I havent used them all yet. I did try the measuring tool in the software and it will give you a measurement in pixels, but I dont think it will tell you the size measurement since its not really a digital miscroscope so the software doesnt know what objective you are using or what the magnification is - but a smart person could probably work it out. the camera seems grate but I'm a bit lost on how to use it though. hte images on the lap top though are great.”

“Great Microscope, was exactly what I needed (The online videos on the site were very helpful in making my choice. Assembly instructions were very clear and setup was smooth and in no time. The camera refresh rate was slow though but still adequate for my use case (This should have been expected given that it is a USB 2 camera and USB 2 only has so much bandwidth and speed - not a deal breaker though). Although one can use the camera as a regular PC camera, the bundled software has all the bells and whistles I needed for digital microscopy. Great buy - happy customer”
