REBOR’s Carnotaurus Rex Crimson King Requiem Plain Variant is an impressive, museum quality model of the South American dinosaur. It is painted in striking, vibrant colours of maroon and purple, with a brown underbelly and legs. Its small, poseable forelimbs rest on its chest, while its strong legs allow it to stand steady. Its articulated jaw opens to showcase a ferocious set of sharp teeth, and its flexible tail assist with balance and strength. On its head are two bull-like horns, and scaly and wrinkled details are evident across its entire ancient reptilian body, making this dinosaur model the perfect addition to your prehistoric collection. REBOR 160772 Carnotaurus Rex Crimson King Requiem Plain Variant, Released May 2021. 1:35 Scale Approx. 41 x 14 x 10cm Suitable for ages 3+. Made of Polystone.

I'm a massive carno fan and Rebor's Crimson King carno is an awesome carno! It's not at all accurate to the real animal, but it's a rad beefier fictional take with great colours. If that's what you're after then this figure delivers. I know it's not listed as such anywhere, but I don't think it's a coincidence how accurately it resembles the carnos from Disney's Dinosaur. If you're after a figure of that 'character', highly recommend this one to fulfill that desire. The figure reflects the listing images really well. It's a super nice model, very solid with a nice heft to it, it feels sturdy and stands on its own easily. The skin/wrinkles, scale and scute/spike details and modelling are fantastic. The colouration/paint is great, awesome colours, with a greyish wash over the cream sections and purpleish grey wash over the maroon sections to make the scale and scute details pop. The mouth and teeth are glossier than the more matte paint on the body giving a nice illusion of variation in textures in the model too. The model arrived in two pieces: tail and body. The tail clicks into place easily and really well, no issues with it moving afterwards, though the seam is pretty visible towards the top of the join. The jaw hinge moves fairly smoothly and easily, staying perfectly in whatever position I leave it in. The flexible tail is about the same. The arms, however, are *incredibly* stiff. I've heard someone else with this figure had this issue too, so I don't know if this is an issue with a few individual random figures or a whole batch or all of them or something else. I haven't tried moving the arms much, as it doesn't look like the joints will take well to brute force, but I'm also happy with them hanging in the position they came in anyway. I've heard hot water can help with that though I haven't tried it myself. Overall, definitely don't regret getting this carno! It's a big beefy dude that resembles the monster from a childhood fav movie super well, and! it's a carno!! So this dude sits on my desk now and sparks joy. MiniZoo also provided incredibly fast handling/shipping (to metro Vic) which is a nice bonus.
