The Southlands Platypus is a gorgeous little figurine sculpted in an inquisitive pose with her head looking up. Though this platypus model is sculpted in 1:12 scale (making her just 5cm long), the detailing of the fur, webbed feet and glossy eyes have been well executed to make her look as realistic as possible. Designed and sculpted in Australia, this platypus has been completed with a hand-painted finish.

Suitable for ages 3+. Made from PVC, painted with non-toxic acrylic paints.

“The Southlands animals are beautifully crafted, and so is this sweet little platypus. It's such a shame that this is the end of the road for this particular project. I recommend buying whatever Southlands animals are still available. I still hope that the Southlands series picks up again at some point.”

“Well, I originally got this platypus to be a companion for my yowies platypus Birra (which is another animal brand Minizoo should start selling, in my opinion) but she was so small she could be a baby! She is beautiful and I love her so so much! My new favorite platypus, and now one of my favorite animals out of my many other ones. The little beak is so smooth, and the fur on her looks oily, like she just got out of the water. I love her curious little expression, with her face gazing up at you. Out of all the Southland's animals, this may be my favorite so far!”

“This platypus is by far my new favorite platypus out of all the ones made by other brands. I was shocked when I saw how small it was and was instantly in love! The detail on such a small figure is amazing!! It goes to scale with the other southlands figures. I just started buying from this brand and I am amazed! I will definitely try to get everything from southlands in the future.”

“Excellent quality, mini platypus- in scale with other Southlands replicas and other leading brands. Very good attention to detail and well painted, as well as strong and durable. I have added this to my collection of Southlands and Schleich animals, and it is to scale with these.”
