“In a world where games like this all too often end up giving you a small sample and expect you to pay more for the full experience this game gives it all to you in one box.
It has all the minis terrain range rulers dice you need in this box who would have thought that was a good idea?
Maybe they knew the game was good enough that you would want to buy the expansions so they gave you everything you needed to get addicted in one box and that’s great. The variety in newish mechanics and new mechanics as well as fun back and forth gameplay make this a must have for any miniature wargamer or Star Wars fan. Highly recommended.”
“As a game this looks quite intriguing. I haven't had a chance to play yet, but it looks like a more complicated Marvel Crisis Protocol (which makes sense) and concerns itself even moreso with things like objectives and mission cards. Characters look very fun and fluffy, with some having double sided stances/combat forms, which I can't wait to mess around with.
As models, they really need to work on this. Sculpts are fantastic looking but many of the mould lines and points of connection to the sprue are seemingly designed to be as irritating as possible. Every single lightsaber had both a full length mould line, as well as one or more attachments to the sprue. It's like the designers of the moulds never made a model themselves. Hell, there were a few with mould lines straight down the middle of a face....
Terrain is absolutely stellar compared to any other core box I've ever had.”
