To be honest, I was a skeptic at first. A friend of mine suggested them because my metallic paints weren't mixing completely when I shook the bottle. I am totally sold on these! I get a consistent mix every time. They are much larger than I thought they would be, but I suppose that makes them move in the gloopy environment of a paint bottle.

No more crazy long shaking of bottles for painting.

Not much to say, pretty easy to pop the tops and add the bearings.

They either work or they don't... in this case they do! It is really a simple decision to add the mixing balls to the paint. All paint separates over time so having an assist with the mixing helps.

These came in a blister pack, which opened in transit. So I got to try and gather a hundred small metal balls out of the packaging, and find another container to put them in. I blame this on the manufacturer, not Miniature Market. That being said, sometimes you just need more balls in your life. I like to dunk balls into my paints, to help mix them in the pots; I dip two balls into each pot. I like the Army Painter paints, but just putting your balls into them is not enough to effectively mix them with vigorous hand movement. I got a cheap laboratory mixer, which vibrates the paint pot. Between my balls and the vibrator, the paint comes out well mixed.

Any paint bottles with the drip tip will no longer give you any trouble with unmixed paint. Add two to a bottle and hand shaking can yield mixed paint with far less shaking. I will still get a small vibrating mixer but even without one, my army painter colors look like they should. Anyone needs to the hobby or returning to it should purchase these with your paint set.
