“There is no fat in this game, and there are challenging decisions to be made. It is an engine builder that ramps up each round. Looking forward to playing it some more.”

“Furnace is a great game because it is simple to learn, has a unique bidding mechanic, and then has a little brain-busting aspect when running your production. Plus, it only takes 45 minutes with four players that know how to play. You'll likely want to play again to try and do better than your first time, but aside from the different roles, there isn't much variability in the game, so replayability is more like a 2/5 (and the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5). Other than that, this game is a great, fairly quick, not-too-heavy game of engine building. Definitely recommend having it in the collection.”

“Furnace has enjoyable game play and game mechanics. The factory engine building and bidding process are very nicely done. With only five Industrialists (player characters) and five starting factories the replay value is lower than it could be with a few more card options.”
